Mark works personally and learns the property: its soils, water, microclimates, plant history, important views and recurring weaknesses. That accumulated knowledge is what allows a mature garden to improve rather than merely survive each visit.
Seasonal horticultural planning
Pruning, soil improvement, nutrition, pest and disease observation and seasonal priorities are considered as one program. Work happens when the plant and the garden need it, not simply because a maintenance calendar says so.
Refinement after installation
Newly built gardens often need careful editing as they mature. Planting is guided, crowded growth is resolved and the original design is refined so the garden gains depth, structure and a convincing sense of permanence.
